Anonymous Chat Without an Account
Updated 2026-10-29. Vibelly lets adults 18+ chat with strangers over video or text without an account, email address, or phone number. This page explains exactly what anonymous means here, including what the other person can see and what Vibelly stores.
What anonymous means on Vibelly
Vibelly requires no account, no email, and no phone number. You connect without a profile, and random chats are ephemeral: when the call ends, the conversation is not stored. As with any peer-to-peer video call, the other person can see your IP address, which can reveal your approximate location.

What anonymous chat means on Vibelly
Anonymous chat on Vibelly means you can start a random video or text chat without creating an account, giving an email address, or sharing a phone number. You are matched with a stranger, and neither of you sees a profile, a name, or a follower count unless you choose to share it.
It does not mean invisible. On any peer-to-peer video call, the other person's browser can see your IP address, which can reveal your approximate location. The other person can also record their own screen, so assume anything you show on camera could be saved. Choose a plain background and keep identifying details off camera.
Some features need an account: Vibelly Premium, direct messages, and reporting. Reporting requires signing in with Google or GitHub, so reports are tied to real accounts. Signing in does not show your name or email to the people you chat with.
What is and is not stored
Full details are in the Terms & Privacy Policy.
- Random chats: video and voice connect directly between browsers, encrypted in transit, and are never recorded. Random text chat messages are relayed and not stored.
- If you sign in: your name, username, email, and profile image from Google or GitHub, the gender and country you choose, your Premium status, and any reports you make or receive.
- Direct messages between signed-in users: the last 25 per conversation are kept for up to 24 hours, then deleted.
- Payments are handled by Razorpay. Vibelly never sees your card or bank details.
- Your IP address is visible to the other person during a peer-to-peer call.
